micros2u.co.uk is a trading division of IT Assist Now Ltd. Registered in England, No. 4803002 The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions processed by Micros2u.co.uk ("the Conditions"). All orders made are subject to the acceptance of these Conditions, and deemed to be accepted by you when placing your order. These Conditions do not affect your statutory rights. 1. All new goods are sold with the benefit of a minimum 12-month manufacturers guarantee (excluding software and some consumables) full details available upon request. It is your responsibility to complete and return to the manufacturer the purchase registration form enclosed with the goods. 2. All used goods are sold with Return to Base warranties (RTB) and must be returned to the place of purchase (micros2u.co.uk) at the Customers own expense, where upon these goods will be repaired or replaced and shipped back to you free of charge, should a fault occur. If these goods are tampered with in anyway your warranty will become void and you will become responsible for the costs of return shipping. If no fault is found you are also responsible for the costs of return shipping. 3. The Warranty does not cover, Accidental damage, Modifications to, failure(s) not due to manufacturing defect(s), software of any type licensed or otherwise, when any warranty void sticker has been tampered with, failure to comply with the original manufacturers conditions of intended use, battery packs, any accessories supplied with a used laptop, or software corruption where re-installation of your operating system is necessary except due to hard drive failure. Micros2u.co.uk can not be held responsible for any costs arising from unauthorised repairs to equipment during the warranty period. Any warranty work can only carried out by Micros2u.co.uk Ltd or the equipment manufacturer or manufacturers authorised service agents. Any unauthorised repairs or repair attempts will void the warranty. 4. RTB warranty on batteries. Batteries are classed as consumables items, therefore as a used consumable are only warranted to hold a charge for at least 30 minutes displaying a screensaver. 4.1 The company will accept liability for defective goods only to the extent that the company is entitled to make a claim under the manufacturer's or publishers warranty and obtain from the manufacturers or publisher a refund, credit, repair or replacement of the defective goods. 4.2 Laptop Displays. Due to the nature of laptop displays there is normally a tolerance of faulty pixels allowed by the manufacturer before it will be deemed to be a faulty unit by the manufacturer. A Laptop display will only be deemed faulty if the number of failed pixels exceeds the manufacturers stated amount in the manufacturers warranty conditions. 5. In the event of product failure we are not responsible for the loss of any data that may occur, nor whilst we repair or exchange this product under the terms of warranty. You are strongly advised to back up all data on a regular basis. If we are unable to affect a repair to any used laptop during its warranty period we will at our sole discretion replace this product with one of a similar or greater specification. 6. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these Conditions. You are deemed to accept the Conditions when you place an order for goods with us. Our contract with you only begins when we confirm acceptance of your offer to purchase goods from us. An order will not take place (and we will not be deemed to have accepted your order) until we have validated and confirmed your payment. Any communication, which you receive from us prior to validation, is not to be deemed as acceptance of your order. In the event of any pricing error occurring within our website, within a written or verbal quotation, or contained within any fax or e-mail correspondence however received, all incomplete orders shall be deemed void. 7. We accept payment by Paypal (3.8% surcharge), by BACS (direct bank transfers- please allow up to 3 working days for transfers to show in our bank account), cleared cheques (allow 7 working days for clearance), bankers draft, postal order and cash (by registered post only). We accept official original signed purchase orders from government bodies, schools, hospitals, council authorities only (copies and facsimiles are NOT acceptable). 8. Many of the goods we sell are of a technical nature and whilst we endeavour to publish as much information as is practical about the goods, the description of the goods are as set out on the Website. All drawings, photographs, descriptive matter, colour, specifications and advertising on our web site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea of the goods. They will not form part of the contract between us. 9. Your order for goods is subject to stock availability. If we do not supply goods to you for any reason we will inform you of the situation and will not charge you for those goods, and will refund you any money already paid by you for the goods. 10. Delivery of the goods shall be made to UK mainland addresses only and must be signed for. The address will be that registered with your payment card issuer, unless you request otherwise and we agree to such a request (at our sole discretion). For all other cleared payments, you can request a different delivery address (Goods still need to be signed for) 11. We will endeavour to deliver your goods if in stock within 4 working days (with the exception of weekends, public holidays) but time shall not be of the essence. If we are unable to deliver the goods for any reason, you will be notified and will not be obliged to pay for the goods. However, we shall not be liable for any loss, which may be suffered by you caused by any delay of delivery unless caused by our negligence. If delivery of the goods is delayed by more than 30 days, you shall be entitled to contact us and cancel the order. Any monies paid in respect of goods, which are not delivered, will be refunded. 12. Goods, other than faulty goods, may not be returned once delivered unless we agree that there is good reason for us to receive such goods back into stock. You are advised to take time when selecting a product and make full use of our email advice service prior to purchase. Cancelled orders are subject to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 No.2334. 13. Ownership of the goods shall not pass to you until we have received payment in full (in cash or cleared funds). 14. The price for the goods is in UK pounds sterling and shall be the price, exclusive of VAT & delivery, set out on the web site at the time your order is placed. A delivery charge will be made and clearly shown in the orders section of the shopping cart before the order is placed. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier's prices, or the imposition of any new taxes or duties. If due to an error or omission the price published for the goods on our web site is wrong we have the right to terminate an order provided the goods have not been dispatched. We will try to ensure that all prices displayed on our web site are accurate, but should an error occur we would inform you of the correct price and give you an opportunity to cancel the order. 15. Payment for goods must be made in accordance with our purchase procedure as set out on our Website. All orders are positively credit card sanctioned prior to dispatch. We can accept no responsibility if any details you provide us with are incorrect or if any order is held up as a result of incorrect details. 16. We shall not be liable to you for any failure or delay in performance of our contract. If it is due to an event beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, war, industrial dispute, fire, flood, tempest and national emergencies and if so delayed we shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of time for performing such obligations. 17. If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must inform us as soon as practicable. We shall arrange collection of the goods (other than used goods) we will either replace the goods at no extra charge, or refund any money paid by you for the goods. If the goods returned under this condition are found not to be defective and to be in full working order they will be returned to you and an administration fee of 15% of the price of the goods along with the cost of carriage of will be charged to you. Please sign "unchecked" for the delivery if the parcel looks damaged. Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make. 18. You shall not be entitled to a refund or replacement of damaged goods if the defect arises because you fail to follow the manufactures instructions as to use, installation, commissioning, or maintenance of the goods or you alter or repair such goods without our written consent. 19. If your goods become faulty within the first 12 months or RTB period (excluding software and some consumables) we will arrange for any repairs to be carried out free of charge. We will endeavour to offer you a fast and efficient after sales service. Your statutory rights remain unaffected. 20. These terms are subject to English law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. 21. We will deliver to business addresses at your request but stress if instructed to do so the card used in the transaction must be officially registered to that address. Also you are agreeing that anyone situated at your business address has your written authority to accept goods on your behalf. We will accept no responsibility for goods once they have been delivered to and signed for at the requested address. 22.
Delivery Charges. All our carriage charges are included in the
shopping basket, UK mainland only non-UK mainland may incur a small
carriage surcharge. |
