Can I collect my purchase in person?

The simple answer to this question is “No”. We are a mail order only company and do not have the facilities for customer collections.

Where do you deliver to?

We can only ship products to addresses with a UK postcode. This includes Non UK Mainland addresses (Channel Islands, Scottish Isles, Isle Of Man and Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland).

  Note: we can also ship to P.O. Boxes or BFPO addresses.

What payment options do you offer?

Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Delta, Solo via Paypal,  BACS, Cash, Cheque,  Postal order. Please note we only ship to the registered address of the Credit Card/Debit Card holder.

How soon will my purchase be delivered?

Following receipt of your payment we will deliver within 3 working days. We usually deliver next day.

Note: If paying by cheque please allow 5 working days for clearance. Direct BACS bank transfer: allow upto 3 working days, unless cash has been paid in to our account

Will you add VAT to my invoice?

No. The price you See is the price you pay. There are no additional charges.  You can print  a VAT invoice from Your Account section.

What is a GRADED STOCK product?

Graded stock is stock that has been returned to the manufacturer or retailer for a number of reasons.  Also ex demo/display item are also graded stock

1. Unwanted gift
2. Un-delivered mail order
3. Cosmetically marked
4. Missing minor accessories e.g. leads or manuals
5. Minor faults - rectified prior to resell
6. Damaged boxes

All products are then electrically checked, tested and repaired

What is the warranty on products?

New products will have the original Manufacturers warranty. This usually ranges from 1 to 3 years. Graded Stock has 3 months, As new, Ex demo may have the balance of the original manufacturers warranty as well. All items under this category will have at least 3 months warranty by ourselves

  What if there is a problem with my purchase?

If you have a problem with your purchase we suggest you refer to the technical support link provided by e-mail with your shipping notification prior to contacting us. After 9 years involved in the sales and support of PC’s and Laptops many of your “teething problems” will be answered here.

 

In the unlikely event that you cannot resolve the issue we offer hardware support only.

Provided your purchase is covered within the warranty period please e-mail Customer Services in the first instance. You will then receive an official Returns Authorisation Number by e-mail, together with instructions of where to send the faulty item and how to package/insure the product.

 

What happens if the machine does not work straight out of the box?

In the unlikely event of this happening, you can contact Customer Services. If notified to us within 7 days, we will exchange the unit if we have a replacement available. This may however not always be possible because of the limited availability of auction stock. In which case we may offer you an alternative machine (at least to the same specification) or we may choose to give you a full refund. Once the initial 7 days have elapsed please refer to the question above.  

If the parcel appears damaged in any way, please sign 'unchecked' with the couriers delivery form. Report suspected delivery damaged issues with 24 hours of receiving your goods. Very important: Failure to report delivery damage will usually invalidate any insurance claims with our courier

 Do you provide software support?

We provide limited support.  We can help with telephone support to a limited time only. Thereafter we charge £45 per hour + VAT. This same rate applies if you want us to provide software support at our premises or callout to your premises (Wiltshire only)

  How much is the delivery charge?

Currently all delivery charges to UK and Ireland addresses are Free of Charge. We do not ship abroad (except Ireland (North& South) & The Channel Islands

    Do you accept PayPal payments?

YES. We are able to accept payments by PayPal. There is a small charge of 3.8% to use this payment facility

  Can I upgrade my product prior to delivery?

Sometimes.  Please contact us to discuss all upgrade requirements.

 

Miscellaneous questions we are often asked…

 

I am exporting the item out of the EU, can I claim the VAT back?

We are not in a position to offer VAT advice. We provide a full VAT invoice upon request, any claims you then wish to make are entirely your own responsibility.

   

The item has a DVD/CDRW drive, what speed is it?

If we do not state the speed, then we recommend you presume it to be 1, that way you will not be disappointed with your purchase (it may indeed be faster than 1, but we refuse to knowingly oversell an item, honesty is the best policy!).

How long will my battery last?

We guarantee batteries up to 1 month on all items. New items will have the manufacturers warranty. On these machines the battery will last for at least 1 hour of regular computing which does not use the DVD or CD drive.

How much is this item in the shops?

Again, this is something we are not able to advise you on, but we are very confident that you will not find a similar item for less on the high Street.

  

The item has no Floppy Drive/Modem/Network Card, can you supply one?

Yes. Please contact us for your specific requirement.

 

Does Windows include Microsoft Office, and if not can you supply it?

Office does not come as standard with any Microsoft Operating system. We can supply any software as requested. Please contact us with your enquiry.

 

I want a different Operating System to the one you have preinstalled!

We are able to change the Operating System. Please contact us with your specific requirements.

 

Will I receive a recovery CD/Drivers CD?

If it’s advertised then yes, if not, then no. New items normally have these and most as new, factory refurbished item do. If you want confirmation , please contact us.

 

I have received my item and I don’t like it! What next?

We are unable to refund unwanted items – all sales are final, so please be sure the item you are purchasing is really the one you want.

  

What is a Windows Key?

This is a 25-character key code which every Operating System needs in order to activate Windows. Without it, you will not be able to use the Operating System on your item. Think of it as a key to unlock a door, which only needs unlocking the once!

 

Is the item UK Spec and if so, will it work abroad?

All items are of UK Spec unless indicated otherwise. Most of the laptops we sell will work abroad, but we accept no responsibility whatsoever for those that don’t.

 

What Graphics card does the machine have?

Graphics cards are stated within the item description. If they’re not stated, then presume them to be integrated.

 

 What are the measurements of the laptop and what does it weigh?

This is sometimes stated within the product description. If it’s not stated, we recommend you search fthe manufacturers website for detailed up to date specifications.

 

Is the Laptop/PC broadband compatible?

95% of all Laptops are, as long as your laptop has a network interface (NIC) you should be able to connect.We recommend you check the specs of the item with your Broadband supplier as we assume no responsibility for this.

  

Are my statutory rights affected by any of your Terms & Conditions?
